The first day of the HIDDEN Core Group meeting on 6th August began with registration and a welcome from Dr. Jennifer Redmond, who outlined the goals of the workshop. The group was then warmly welcomed by Professor Andreas Önver Cetrez, who hosted the meeting and delivered an engaging presentation on his academic work and involvement in various collaborative projects. The Core Group then moved into formal discussions, including approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, confirmation of the agenda, and review of recent Working Group applications. The remainder of the day was dedicated to planning for the fourth year of the HIDDEN project, with a focus on budget preparation and upcoming events. Afternoon sessions continued with detailed discussions on funding streams, dissemination strategies, and communications planning. The day concluded with a summary of the next steps and preparations for the following day’s writing-focused activities.

On the 7th and 8th of August, the HIDDEN meeting focused on other HIDDEN’s outputs including collaborative writing and strengthening the network’s scholarly outputs. Each day began with presentations from editors and contributors, who provided updates on the progress of ongoing writing projects. These sessions highlighted the range of topics and approaches being developed within the HIDDEN network, reflecting its interdisciplinary and inclusive nature.

The remainder of the time was dedicated to focused writing sessions, where participants worked individually and in groups on developing HIDDEN outputs. Alongside this, members collaborated on expanding the HIDDEN bibliography – an important step in broadening the network’s academic reach and supporting its research base. Informal discussions throughout the day further enriched the exchange of ideas and fostered deeper collaboration.

As the Core Group meeting concluded, participants took time to reflect on what had been achieved and renewed their commitment to the final phase of HIDDEN. The energy and collaboration shown over these days reinforced the strength of the network, as members look forward to completing and sharing the results of their work in the months ahead.
